Man cleared of Taser Robbery
Thursday 22nd December 2011
Gurdeep Garcha successfully defended a man charged with being the leader of a gang who used tasers and firearms during the course of a robbery
Gurdeep Garcha successfully defended a man who was cleared by a Birmingham jury, following a five day trial, of being the leader of a team of robbers who burst into the home of a Birmingham family. The family were subjected to severe violence which included being threatened with hand-guns and being repeatedly tasered, whilst demands for money were made. The case centred on identification and involved detailed facial mapping of the perpetrators from CCTV recovered from the home, with experts being called by both Prosecution and Defence.
