Andrew Fisher QC and Gurdeep Garcha are representing a Wolverhampton man who has gone on trial at Wolverhampton Crown Court charged with the murder of his 11 year old great-niece.
The case involves detailed consideration of the defendant’s mental health at the time of the killing. The defendant accepts that he committed the killing. The defence case is that at the time of the incident the defendant was legally insane.
The trial is expected to last 5 days.
