Practice Manager

Bill Maynard had 19 years experience in the Court Service before he joined Coleridge Chambers as Senior Clerk at the beginning of 1984. From the date of the merger and inception of Citadel Chambers, he has been in overall charge as Practice Manager. In 2001 his administrative expertise and dedication was recognised by the award of ISO 9001.
 

Senior Clerk

Rodney Neeld, who leads the clerking team, was formerly Senior Clerk of 4 Fountain Court, and thus has vast experience in all areas of practice, with particular expertise in licensing matters. He supervises all diary bookings, deals with family and civil work (with assistance from Alex Brown), and is responsible for the Silks’ diaries.
 

The Clerking team

David Dobson is the most experienced specialist criminal clerk. He deals with criminal matters listed in Birmingham, the largest and busiest Court centre on the Midland Circuit.
Micky Powell is very well known across the whole of the Circuit and organises diaries for some of its busiest practitioners.
Alex Brown has a wide variety of experience, having worked in several Chambers in Birmingham before joining Citadel.
 

Administration

The team is led by Richard Cornes, with the assistance of Lee Wilson, Maureen Maloney and Stefan Gates.
Richard Cornes has extensive administrative experience, having worked in a number of roles and offices in the Crown Court, prior to joining Chambers in 2002.

Sarah Pearsall is Practice Administrator.

Consultant Administrator Ray Ellison is a Chartered Accountant with over 30 years experience of managing successful businesses.
 

Accounts

The accounts team is led by Carole Maynard, with the assistance of Kirsty Morecock.
