Citadel Chambers is a predominantly criminal set conveniently situated in the modern heart of Birmingham, immediately opposite the Queen Elizabeth II Law Courts.
In addition to its strength in crime, chambers is able to offer first class advocacy in all types of court, tribunal and other arenas in which effective representation is required. The large criminal team, which covers the full range of criminal work, is complemented by teams in other areas of practice such as licensing, contentious civil costs and other regulatory matters. Individual members also have their own particular areas of expertise, including actions against the police, asylum and immigration, prison law, employment and family work. In addition, chambers has a wealth of experience in a whole range of regulatory matters, such as trading standards, environmental, health and safety, consumer law and VAT and revenue appeals.
Chambers has a significant number of members with part time judicial appointments.
